Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin Awarded for Going “Beyond the Call”
Last summer, the members of Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin joined several other area businesses to be part of United Way’s 2009 Pilot Campaign to raise funds and awareness for United Way and its services. Of the nearly 30 companies participating in the campaign, four of these businesses—including Fleschner Law—recently received United Way’s “Beyond the Call” award for their dedication to the campaign.
The law firm was recognized for achieving 100 percent employee participation and for raising more than $12,800—nearly tripling the amount the firm contributed in 2008. Participating in events throughout the year, firm members held cookouts, ran donation tables, and volunteered whenever possible to help raise money for those in need. In fact, a large portion of the proceeds raised by firm members came from their first cookout to benefit United Way.
“This is an amazing achievement for our company,” firm employee Krystal Wake said. “We are grateful to have the opportunity to participate in such a worthwhile campaign and are honored to be recognized by an organization that has and continues to contribute so much to so many people. We look forward to 2010 being an even better year in terms of our commitment toward philanthropic activities that benefit our community.”
